Patient Portal

For our families’ convenience Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, LLP is proud to offer a Patient Portal. The patient portal provides families the ability to communicate with our office remotely, 24 hours a day.

The Patient Portal can’t replace in-office visits, but it does permit families to perform many administrative tasks without calling the office and save time!

Some important tasks that families can now do:

  • Update or correct home address and/ or telephone numbers
  • Print out Immunization records
  • Schedule your own routine, future appointments
  • Send secure messages to the doctors, administrative staff or billing dept
  • Request prescription refills
  • Request insurance referral to specialists
  • Review billing statements

To sign-up, speak to one of our receptionists. Provide them with your email address. They will activate the account and send you a temporary password. Please remember, each child needs their own account!

For added convenience, have the Patient Portal in the palm of your hand, anywhere, anytime. Download the Healow app to your Smartphone from the App Store. Enter our unique practice code, FJACCA. While each child needs their own unique Patient portal account, the Healow app can merge all of the accounts into the one app.

Sign up for the Patient Portal, conveniently find the link to the Portal through our website www.pedsny.com and download the Healow app for your Smartphone. Explore all of the features.

How To Use The Patient Portal

Dashboard:

Find Practice Details in the upper right hand corner. Here you can find information on Our Doctors, Working Hours, Directions and Office Policies. This information can also be obtained from our website www.pedsny.com.

The Dashboard gives an overview of your child’s overall chart. Here, it’s easy to review current and all medications, and to request refills. Please review the name of the medication and the strength prescribed. Send a secure message to make corrections if necessary.

Medical Records:

Your Provider can securely publish lab results drawn in the office in Lab/Diagnostic Reports. This is particularly helpful when patients are also being seen by specialists.

Visit Summary is also helpful in tracking frequent illness such as recurrent ear infections or strep throats.

Immunization History permits parents to print their child’s immunization records and attach to camp and school forms – or just to verify when was the last tetanus shot?

My Account:

Click onto Personal Information and Additional Information to update home address, email address and telephone numbers. Please always keep your demographics current and accurate.

Click onto Latest Statement and Past Statements to review your Billing Statements.

Messages:

Click on Ask Doctor for secure messaging to the office staff or providers. This should be used for non-urgent messages only. The advantage is that non-urgent questions can be asked anytime of the day, not just during office hours.

For specific prescription requests, please use Refill Requests; for insurance referrals to specific specialists, please use Referral Requests.

Appointments:

With New Appointments, parents can make their own routine appointments. It’s quick and easy, and of-course, you are never put on-hold! Under Reason, please use the format: ___ year old MALE (or FEMALE) Well Child Visit. Under Message, please indicate any special concerns or issues.

You will receive a confirmation email, thanking you for making an appointment with Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, LLP. (Families find it most convenient to set up email rather than text or phone for communication preference.)

Questionnaires:

Under Medical History, parents can enter Family History details; Under Surgical and Allergies, parents can enter Surgeries, Hospitalizations and Allergies that might have occurred in the interval between Well Child Visits or as part of the first visit appointment.
